miniBGG is developed by Michael "beefsack" Alexander and searches the boardgamegeek.com database through the boardgamegeek XMLAPI created by Matthew Gray (discussion thread here). Boardgamegeek.com is an absolutely fantastic resource for all lovers of board games, and through creating miniBGG I hope to make it a more accessable tool for mobile boardgame hunting.

miniBGG is designed to be very light in design, adhering to the W3C XHTML Basic 1.0 specification designed to work on mobile devices, but also to retain as much of the in-depth data provided through boardgamegeek as possible. I hope to expand the capabilities of miniBGG as the XMLAPI is developed, to hopefully one day include things like reviews and game sessions from the game specific forums.
